The academic year begins in April and ends in March. It comprises of two terms. The school follows the CCE (continuous comprehensive assessment) broadly classified as Summative and Formative assessment.

Students are expected to put in 50 hours of community service in a recognized NGO .This community service is a mandatory requirement for the Board Examination.
Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation happens through Tests every Monday and Wednesday. The entire schedule is given well in advance and Internal assessment forms an integral part of the evaluation mechanism. This could be in the form of Reading, Recitation, Aural Comprehension, Poetry writing, Painting a poem, Subject relays, Crosswords, Quizzes, Practical work, Map work, Debates, Mental agility tests and so on.
There are 2 examinations , in September and February . A student is promoted to the next class based on the sum total of his/her performance throughout the year.
There is a 4-5 days Project linked Tour which is part of the study program. It is expected that all students will go on this trip because it is not just about visiting a new place but about doing an in depth study of the place in question. It also instills in children an array of other skills such as independence, money handling, team work etc. On their return students will prepare a project on their trip.
The school is also affiliated to the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and prepares students for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and AS / A Level Examinations at the end of Grade X, XI & XII respectively. The (IGCSE) is an academically rigorous, internationally- used and specialised English Language curriculum which is offered to students to prepare them for the A levels offered by CIE in different subjects.

The IGCSE Checkpoint Examination is taken at the end of the Grade VII academic year. Cambridge Checkpoint is a diagnostic test designed to assess learning’s in English, Mathematics and Science.
The Tests are assessed by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). Every student is awarded a statement of Achievement and a Diagnostic Feedback Report. The CIE offers International Certificate of Education (ICE) for candidates who achieve Seven subject passes. The ICE is Awarded in three grades: Distinction, Merit and Pass.
The IGCSE is graded on an 8 point scale from A* to G with “U” signifying “Ungraded” In addition, to Awarding top candidates with the uppermost achievement, Cambridge awards for Outstanding Achievement in the categories of “Top in Country” and “Top in World” for each subject.
